The price, clean, location and the services. the workers are really nice persons.
there was an smell of no ventilation. It would be nice if there is more ventilation, air in the rooms.

This is more like a motel. You can part at your room! It is undergoing renovations. We had a renovated room which was very comfortable. The owner/staff were helpful and the position for exploring old Alexandria and getting to Washington city attractions is excellent....only a short walk to the metro.
Some noise from room above, but not serious.

The location was great! We used the Metro to get around, or walked. The Old Town Alexandria was easy to walk too. The restaurant selections that were close to the Motel Alexandria offered a varied selection of price and ethnic style. Our room was newly remodeled and very comfortable.
The pillows.

The owner went out of his way to help us,he did our online check in for us, gave us directions etc and let us leave our car parked in his grounds. We found the location ideal for us, as there were petrol stations opposite and it was an easy drive to RReagan airport on the same main road. It may look basic, but it was stress-free and handy for historic Alexandria and very reasonable in price.

the price for the for a clean room with a king size bed free wifi, micro wave, refridgerator and parking was outstanding.
the walk to to the metro is about 6 easy blocks but u have to go thru a low income housing area (2 blocks).ok during the day, must be alert late at night on weekends.

Friendly and helpful staff
Very High costs for a less than motel 6 type property. Go one block closer to Old Town Alexandria, to the Travel Lodge and save 1/3.

The building is in disrepair. The room was musty and hot when I arrived. The air conditioner was very noisy, cutting in and out all night.. For a few dollars more I could have stayed in a much better place and I will next time I'm in Alexandria.

We liked the cleanliness and that it was close to the bus/train station.
We didn't like the thin walls. We were able to hear people in the next room talking. We also didn't like that there wasn't a basket in the bathroom or an alarm clock in the room. For a motel, it was definitely a higher quality place. As an overall rating, we would rate it a 7 out of 10.

Great Find! Very affordable, close to metro, close to many great restaurants and shops, free parking, safe friendly neighborhood. We will defininitely stay here again when we return to the Alexandria/Washington Dc area.

This is a very basic motel, nothing fancy. But the price point was great when compared to other hotels in/around Washington dc. Easy access to the Metro to dc; walking distance to Old Town Alexandria with loads of shopping/dining options. Our rooms were clean, comfortable; free on-site parking a big plus. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to all looking to escape the outrageously high-priced chain and boutique hotels in the area.
